For many distributors, every recording looks the same. Not to us. Oclassica is a label built for classical music, with a deep understanding of the repertoire, the artists, and what makes each recording unique.

Release your classical music album on the label

Over 15 years working with classical musicians and ensembles. We handle cover artwork, classical metadata, ISRC and UPC codes, and worldwide distribution — so you focus on the music. Your recording reaches Apple Music Classical, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube and 50+ platforms — correctly catalogued, properly credited, and presented to the standard your work deserves.

Discovered through curated compilations

A new classical album without an established audience rarely reaches beyond a small circle. One recording placed across dozens of curated compilations reaches a different audience each time — multiplying exposure that a single release alone cannot achieve. We place your works in compilations built by repertoire and theme, which regularly reach the top charts in classical music on Apple Music. Your recordings find the listeners they deserve.

FAQ

Questions? We have answers.

Aggregators upload your files to streaming platforms. They work across all genres with no understanding of classical music, no active promotion, and no curation. Oclassica is a classical music label. We know the repertoire, handle every step of the release process, and actively promote your recordings through carefully assembled compilation albums.

Aggregators transfer audio files. Oclassica understands the repertoire. Most music distributors are not equipped to handle classical music metadata, which is far more complex than pop or rock — leading to attribution errors, poor indexing, and lost royalties. We handle classical metadata accurately, design cover artwork, assign ISRC codes, and place your recordings in curated compilations that reach new listeners.

Metadata is the information attached to a recording that tells streaming platforms who composed the work, who performed it, and how to categorise it. For classical music this includes composer, work title, catalogue number (Op., BWV, K., etc.), key, movement titles, instrumentation, conductor, soloists, and ensemble.

Accurate metadata ensures your recording is correctly credited, properly searchable, and eligible for royalty collection. Services such as Apple Music Classical have strict metadata requirements for classical recordings — submissions with incomplete or incorrect data can be rejected or miscategorised. Errors are common when handled by distributors unfamiliar with classical repertoire, and they can affect both discoverability and payments.

Oclassica is a data-driven music record label. This means that we rely on data and research to determine what repertoire is most in demand on music streaming services. We work with classical music, classical crossover, and various instrumental music. If you are only planning to record an album, we recommend that you contact us with demo recordings. Then together we can choose the right repertoire for your planned album. If you already have a professional quality recording, we would be happy to consider it for release and give you our feedback.

We work with independent classical musicians, ensembles, and orchestras who own the master rights to their recordings, as well as record labels with existing back catalogs seeking wider distribution.

Your recordings will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, Tidal, Deezer, and many other streaming platforms and digital stores worldwide.

We suggest to submit audio recordings of high resolution sound quality. There is no single standard for high-resolution audio formats, but we recommend recording audio in the two most commonly used formats: WAV 24-bit / 96 kHz (3.2 times better than CD) and WAV 24-bit / 192 kHz (6.5 times better than CD). Modern studio equipment usually supports these formats. The minimum acceptable quality of audio files corresponds to the usual quality of CD: WAV 16 bit / 44.1kHz.

We work primarily with classical and instrumental music — solo piano, chamber music, orchestral works, and classical crossover. We are particularly interested in repertoire that is in strong demand on streaming platforms.

You recorded. We handle the rest. Your music is distributed to 50+ platforms worldwide — Spotify, Apple Music Classical, Amazon Music, YouTube, and more — correctly catalogued, with accurate classical metadata.

Your recordings reach listeners who would never have found your album. Placed across dozens of curated compilations — built by repertoire, mood, and theme — your work finds a different audience each time, continuously. Oclassica compilations regularly appear in the top charts in classical music on Apple Music. That visibility benefits every recording on them.

You keep control of your work and 100% of your rights.
