Christinas Grigoryants repertoire includes different eras and styles of music from baroque to modern jazz including works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff , Ravel, Gershwin, Brubeck, Piazzolla, Corea, Lord and many more.
The Grigoryants family line consists of Armenian musicians many generations back. Both parents, Eduardo and Klara Grigoryants, were music teachers and her father was also a well known composer and band leader.
From early age, she participated and won in various domestic and international piano competitions. In 1994 Christina was accepted into the prestigious Gnessin Academy of Music and graduated as top student in 1999.
Since childhood Christina has also developed a passion for jazz and has been involved in experimental modern music projects as a soloists and improviser.
Her combination of the highest level of piano academia with the freedom and spontaneity of jazz, folk and blues, is rather unique.
From 1994 until 2018, Christina has also worked as a music teacher, but is now focusing solely on her work as a performing musician, with permanent residence in Sweden.
