Bio
Jasmina Zivic is a Serbian-Norwegian flutist based in Kristiansund, Norway. Since 2020, she has been employed as a solo flutist with the Opera in Kristiansund. As both an orchestral musician and soloist, she has performed concerts across Norway, Serbia, Greece, Italy, Germany, Russia, and many other countries. With extensive experience in classical music, Jasmina has collaborated with leading Norwegian orchestras, including the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, and Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. She is a prizewinner of numerous competitions in Serbia, Norway, and internationally.
While her primary focus remains classical music, Jasmina also enjoys collaborating with artists across a variety of musical genres. She has participated in several CD recordings spanning world music, contemporary music, and more.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jasmina co-created a project titled “BREATH” together with dancer Elisabeth Ludwig. Inspired by the global situation, the project was selected for the IN2IT Dance Festival and premiered in October 2021 in Kristiansund. For this performance, Jasmina composed the music and performed on an electric flute using a loop station.
Deeply passionate about pedagogy, Jasmina regularly holds masterclasses and courses for flute students and woodwind groups, both in Norway and internationally.
In 2018, Jasmina co-founded the KINDA Trio with two fellow string musicians. The trio performs a vibrant mix of classical and folk music, often arranging their own pieces. Based in Kristiansund, the KINDA Trio is active throughout the Møre and Romsdal region and also performs internationally, appearing at festivals and events in Serbia, Poland, and beyond.
